RoodMicrotec - Trading Update

RoodMicrotec's total sales in the third quarter 2012 increased significantly compared to the second quarter and made it the company's strongest quarter of this year so far.
This is in line with the global semiconductor industry, which also showed a positive development in the third quarter. The total level of the semiconductor industry is still below the level of 2011.
The macroeconomic uncertainty impacts not only the developments in the semiconductor industry, but also those of RoodMicrotec. The restraint among customers and postponement of projects continued into the third quarter, but there are positive developments in the order portfolios of the various business units. Also, sales in all sectors in the third quarter were equal to or better than in the first and second quarter 2012. The Supply Chain Management and Failure & Technology Analysis business units showed a strong recovery compared to the second quarter 2012.
Personnel
Recruiting engineers with a background in electronic engineering or physics remains a key priority for us.
Outlook second half 2012
RoodMicrotec's sales development outlook for the second half of 2012 compared to the first half of 2012 remains positive. Analogous to the SIA forecast for 2013 and beyond, RoodMicrotec expects to recover and realise its growth objectives.
