Peter Margison, Managing Director of Bodog Canada, explains: "The internet allows us to explore and appeal to other markets even with our bespoke Canadian look and feel. In certain areas, like [ice] hockey, our product offers far more than most in a sport that, while relatively niche, still has a global following. It makes sense to spread the word beyond Canada and we believe moving to a more international domain will help us achieve that extra reach."

He continued: "We will also be adding content on the site to appeal to emerging demographics within Canada. The large Asian population, ignored by our competitors, is a unique opportunity to differentiate and expand with some simple, additional products like live dealer casino and Mahjong."
