Legendary Impresario Sir Cameron Mackintosh Hails Sony's Ramin, a Pop Sensation for 2012
Sir Cameron Mackintosh related a story about Ramin from his casting director Trevor Jackson , which underlined that it was truly a story of third time lucky for the West End Star and why Mackintosh really sees Ramin as a star for 2012. He read from a note written by Trevor to highlight the talent he can see in him -
"The thing that stands out about Ramin's Cameron Mackintosh career is that on two occasions he was shown unsuccessfully to me for principle roles and Cameron instead of just saying no which he would normally do, made us take him away for a week, rework him and bring him back. I've never known him do this with any other artist, I think it was because how ever unfocussed Ramin's talent was then [in the early stages of his musical career], Cameron could always perceive there was something special and unique about him."
Having read from Trevor's note Macintosh then went on to state that -
"Ramin is not only a remarkable artist but also a very remarkable person and one I have been very lucky to consider a friend as well as having had him in my shows so many times." He finished off by saying... "I hope this new recording career works for him very well but not too much that he won't be able to come back to the West End stage."
