An Embassy to Welcome Extraterrestrials' Return to Earth
''The request of the Raelian Movement is for approximately five square kilometers (1.93 square miles) of land on which to construct the embassy, plus full extraterritoriality rights for it in the host country and a pre-established no-fly zone for the airspace surrounding it," said Daniel Turcotte , the IRM's diplomatic agent for the E.T. Embassy Project, in a statement released today by the IRM.
In addition, demonstrations and other publicity events will be held in several countries around the world today, which Raelians call Embassy Day.
Why build an embassy for extraterrestrials?
"The U.S. government and all other governments around the world know that an extraterrestrial civilization has been making itself known for a long time," Turcotte explained. "By allowing so many of their UFOs and crop circles to be observed and documented by both the public and Earth's military forces, these extraterrestrials have been preparing humanity gradually for open contact. It's time to acknowledge that and build an embassy to welcome them here officially, on behalf of humanity."
Turcotte said press conferences will be held in New York and many other cities. Blueprints of the proposed embassy will be unveiled for the first time at a press conference to be held in New York City at 2:30 p.m. , April 2 , at the Writer's Den, located on the 14th floor of the Library Hotel at 299 Madison Ave. A scale model will also be displayed, and attending journalists will be given exclusive access to the E.T. Embassy file.
A similar conference presenting the embassy project was held in Lima, Peru , on February 10.
"Significantly, a UFO was seen hovering over the area for the entire duration of that event," Turcotte said.
