ETC Simulation contracted by NIFV to deliver ADMS for Netherlands Ministry of Defense Joint CBRNE School
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Southampton, Pa., USA, November 12, 2012 - Environmental Tectonics Corporation's ("ETC" or the "Company") Simulation Division, located in Orlando, FL, has been awarded a contract from the Netherlands Institute for Safety (NIFV) to expand their Advanced Disaster Management Simulator (ADMS(TM)) with CBRNE incidents and more simulation systems. They are required by NIFV to provide ADMS training support to the Ministry of Defense Joint CBRNE School.
ETC will deliver three portable ADMS Training Systems with CBRNE scenarios to NIFV. The simulation will include specific Netherlands Ministry of Defense vehicles, mass decontamination facilities, and chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and explosive (CBRNE) incidents. The ADMS systems will be used to develop virtual reality based training programs, provide joint civil and military training, and to evaluate the effectiveness of such training. NIFV will provide facilitator/instructor training and technical support to the CBRNE school.
Eric Didderen, Senior Trainer/Advisor at NIFV, stated, "NIFV is very pleased with the acknowledgement by the Netherlands Ministry of Defense for this one year training support contract. We will work closely with the Joint CBRNE School and ETC to develop the simulations needed for training military CBRNE staff and civil incident command teams. The overall goal is to prepare for special situations that require the involvement of military CBRNE expertise and resources such as dirty bombs and large scale radiological contamination."
NIFV is a national center of expertise with four Academies including the Fire Academy, Academy for Crisis Management, Emergency Medical Service Academy and Academy for Leadership. Since 2001, NIFV has trained thousands of emergency responders and crisis management teams using ADMS.
