Already proven in the United States and other regions of the world in flood fighting and protection against storm events, HESCO's products have also been used by militaries the world over in the defence of troops in every major conflict since the First Gulf War.
HESCO has been the supplier of force protection barriers that protect and defend troops and facilities against enemy attack since 1991, saving countless lives and mission critical assets. HESCO barriers are well known and relied upon by troops around the world to provide safety and protection in the most difficult locations. Acknowledged as the most significant development in field fortifications since the Second World War, HESCO products have become a key component and the benchmark in force protection throughout the world, and have been used in every major conflict since the first Gulf war.
Constructed from wire mesh and lined with special geotextile fabric, HESCO units are delivered flat packed and can be erected and filled using virtually any locally available material, such as earth or sand. HESCO barriers have significant advantages over traditional sandbags in terms of speed and structural integrity. A typical wall of 1,500 sandbags can take 10 persons up to 7 hours to fill and build. The same length and height of wall using HESCO barrier products can be erected and filled with two persons and a standard front-end loader in just 20 minutes.
