Top 200 Chinese Cable Producer Revenues Hit Record US$61 Billion with Far East Cable Leading the Pack
The 'Top 200 Chinese Wire & Cable Producers Database' is the first analysis of its kind to rank the leading 200 wire and cable producers in
China , whose combined revenues increased by 4.4% year-on-year to reach
US$61.1 billion in 2013. This is a sharp increase from the
US$29.1 billion revealed in 2008, despite being a slower growth rate than in recent years.
China is now a force to be reckoned with in the global wire and cable industry and Far East Cable faced strong competition from other leading cable producers including: Tongling Jingda, Jiangsu Shangshang Cable Group Co., Ltd, Baosheng Wire & Cable, TBEA Co Ltd, Shanghai Shenghua, Xing Yue Group Co., Ltd (Xingle), Hengtong Group and Tianjin Suli Cable Group Ltd.
Driving these increases in Chinese producer revenues (much to the benefit of the leading 200) is the acute rise in demand for wire and cable as well as market consolidation and merger and acquisition activity which has taken place over the last six years. Another key development has been the infiltration of leading Chinese producers into the community of global cable companies, displacing many European, Middle Eastern, Taiwanese and ASEAN companies from the global rankings.
" ," says Integer Research's Director of Wire & Cable, Philip Radbourne . Radbourne also noted ".
The 'Top 200 Chinese Wire & Cable Producers Database' details wire and cable revenues (US$ million), company by company, based on the size of their turnover for each calendar year stretching from 2013 back to 2008, allowing for some very revealing analysis of the competitive landscape. The report details the year of founding and main location by city and province of each of the leading 200. Integer has been analysing the global wire and cable market in detail since 2002, and has increasingly concentrated its research in emerging markets such as China .
*Revenues are reported in US$ million, and include insulated power cable and enamelled/magnet wire and strip figures. We specifically exclude revenues from copper and aluminium rod, bare overhead cables (ACSR/AAC) and wiring harness revenues.
