BVA and ITN Productions Launch Unique Online Vet Film

Video Caption: ‘Veterinary View’ is a joint project between BVA and ITN Productions to produce a programme for and about the veterinary profession. The programme is made up of a series of short films, debates and interviews, including news content from BVA and sponsored films from veterinary and animal health-related companies. ‘Veterinary View’ was launched at BVA Members’ Day on Thursday 24 September 2015 . The series of 16 short films, introduced by national newsreader Natasha Kaplinsky , examines some of the key interests of BVA members from veterinary wellbeing to veterinary surveillance and preventive healthcare. It also includes an interview with BVA President Sean Wensley and Chief Executive David Calpin .

Three of the 'Veterinary View' films are studio debates between BVA Junior Vice President Gudrun Ravetz , Professor the Lord Trees, Helena Diffey , President of the Association of Veterinary Students (AVS) and the Veterinary Schools Council's Dr. Clare Allen on veterinary education and the future of the veterinary profession.

Sean Wensley , BVA President, said: "Veterinary View not only celebrates some of the veterinary profession's fantastic work, but complements our joint project with RCVS, Vet Futures, in exploring how the profession can best shape its own future. We hope it will stimulate debate among vets, and the wider community in which we work, about both the big challenges and opportunities that the veterinary profession is facing."
