Kesko's sales in June 2014

 

Kesko Group's sales, excluding VAT, in June 2014 totalled EUR792.1 million, down 0.9%.

 

In Kesko's food trade, sales in June were EUR369.7 million, matching the level of the previous year. The number of delivery days in June was one more than in the previous year.

 

In the home and speciality goods trade, sales in June were EUR94.7 million, a decrease of 7.5%. The sales performance was especially impacted by the decline in the sales of the department store trade. Sales growth was recorded by the online stores and Asko and Sotka. The number of retail selling days in June was one less than in the previous year.

 

In the building and home improvement trade, sales in June were EUR248.5 million, up 2.6%. In terms of local currencies, sales increased by 6.6%. Sales in Finland increased by 9.8%. Sales abroad decreased by 2.0% in euros, but increased by 4.5% in local currencies.

 

In the car and machinery trade, sales in June were EUR92.3 million, a decrease of 5.8%. VV-Auto's sales in June were EUR63.9 million, up 1.7%. Konekesko's sales in June were EUR28.4 million, a decrease of 19.0% from the previous year.

In June 2014, the number of selling days in Kesko's wholesale in Finland was 20, which was one more than in the previous year. The total number of selling days in January-June was one less than in the previous year. The number of retail selling days in June was 28, which was one less than in the previous year. The total number of retail selling days in January-June was the same as in the previous year.
