How to add canonical tag in SP Page Builder for Joomla
Over the past couple of months, the Crusco Canonical URL plugin, which adds canonical URL tags in Joomla, has received a couple of very interesting updates.
Last month support for Convert Forms was added, and a few days ago support for the popular SP Page Builder component was added as well.
Many professionals use this component to speed up the creation of complex Joomla pages, inserting with simple drag and drop elements such as photo galleries, carousels, forms, animated headers, Google map, modal popups, alerts, etc.
With this update (1.2.2), the Crusco Canonical URL plugin for Joomla automatically adds canonical URL tags for these pages as well.
If you need to implement some particular SEO strategy, of course there is the possibility of specifying a custom canonical URL by accessing the linked menu item.
The option can be enabled and disabled on the plugin setup page.
HOW TO RECEIVE THE UPDATE
The update, which also fixes a bug that could lead to an error during the plugin update procedure with the Free subscription plan, is available in the Download section of the Crusco HTML site, or via the System Update of Joomla!
To receive it through Joomla's System Update:
- Go to System -> Update Sites -> Crusco Canonical URL
- Enter your Download ID in the “Download Key” field.
You can find your Download ID by visiting your account menu on HTML Crusco.
REQUEST OTHER FEATURES
Support for SP Page Builder was introduced because it was overwhelmingly requested by users.
The plugin developers have prepared a special form for requesting new features.
The most popular requests will be developed and implemented in subsequent releases of the plugin.
