Mobile Viewpoint Announces Live Video Transmission App for Apple MAC OS X

Mobile Viewpoint CEO and research leader Michel Bais:

"Many of our customers use portable but low bandwidth BGAN- and KA-sat satellite terminals to establish internet connections and do live transmissions from remote locations. Our patented encoding and bonding technology allows them to improve these connections by using the BGAN internet connection together with local WiFi and 3G/4G connections on the same laptop used for editing, research and preparing stories. Even in these harsh circumstances, this brings better video quality and improved productivity while using off-the-shelf hardware."

Like all other Mobile Viewpoint portable and fixed encoders, this new example of creative use of technology for live video and file transfers integrates completely in the Mobile Viewpoint family. It can be monitored from the WMT VideoManager and routed to one or more HD SDI Playout devices for total flexibility and footage exchange options. It is available as of August for Mac OSX 10.9 and higher. A Windows version will be available later this year.
