Martyn Ravenhill Makes a Sizable Donation to the Liberace Foundation
Martyn Ravenhill , businessman and Liberace enthusiast, recently made a sizable donation of an undisclosed amount to the Liberace foundation and has pledged ALL proceeds from the first 5,000 copies of his new book "The Social Stockmarket" to also be donated.
Las Vegas, Nevada -- Martyn Ravenhill is a long-time fan of Liberace and the performing arts. He is the current owner of Liberace's former Las Vegas mansion and is in the process of renovating and restoring the residence to its former grandeur. Martyn Ravenhill believes in giving back to the community as well as giving back to today's youth, which is why he has made a sizeable donation of an undisclosed amount to the Liberace Foundation.
The Liberace Foundation is an exceptional organization that aims to help students in Southern Nevada to pursue their dreams in the creative and performing arts. The foundation has done this through artistic exposure and scholarship assistance for over 30 years now, and has awarded in excess of 2,700 scholarships.
Liberace is most well known as both a showman and a pianist, but he was also a key player in launching the careers of several other talented artists and individuals. In fact, he helped further the career of several opera singers, decorators, dancers, costume designers and more. Liberace had the unique ability to captivate huge crowds by playing both popular and classic tunes.
Liberace truly loved the performing arts and made every effort to give back to those who were trying to break into this lucrative business. In this book entitled "The Things I Love," Liberace said, "I want to do what I can to give others just starting out a career a boost. I hope The Foundation projects will continue into the future to offer gifted newcomers financial help, and in many cases, artistic exposure as well."
Martyn Ravenhill understands the importance of the foundation to many new and emerging artists who strive to make it big in show business. With this sizable donation, the Liberace Foundation will be able to provide financial assistance to students who are talented and capable of going big, but need some help.
Martyn Ravenhill is looking forward to the opening of the Liberace Mansion, and unveiled the plans for its renovation on December 9. For more information about Liberace and the Liberace foundation that does so many incredible things for young, talented artists, visit http://www.liberace.org .
