Express Travel Network know that the most stressful part of a vacation is dealing with airports, so they have released tips for travelers to take advantage of next time they find themselves flying.

Los Angeles, California -- Express Travel Network understands that travelers do not want to spend hours waiting at an airport, when instead they could be out enjoying their time away from work. Airports are busy places, and the increased security that airports utilize during the busy travel seasons will inherently slow everything down. To maximize the efficiency of a traveler's time at an airport, the following tips are suggested.

Express Travel Network points out that some airline companies have different size limits for carry-on bags. When travelers are packing for their trip, they should check online, ahead of time, to ensure that their carry-on bags meet the regulation standard. Most airlines allow a person to bring a personal item along with their carry-on bag. Personal items are things like diaper bags, laptops, and briefcases.

The last thing any traveler wants is to be stopped at a security checkpoint for having a suspicious item. It is important to make sure items like fireworks, self-defense items, or pocket knives are not accidently included in the luggage. Being caught with such an item could potentially ground the traveler for an extended period of time. For items like medicated syringes and personal lighters for smoking before and after flights, it is best to check ahead of time to ensure the airlines allow for such items.

Express Travel Network recommends that travelers choose items to pack in their carry-on carefully. Apart from avoiding the items previously listed, travelers may want to think about including the following items: comfortable socks, headphones, and a sleeping mask. The sleeping mask is a great item to have as it allows travelers to block out the light in a daytime flight. That extra hour of sleep can really boost energy levels that will be needed later in the day. Headphones can be used to listen to music without disturbing neighbors, and can also serve to counter noisy neighbors by dampening sounds. Headphones mixed with a sleeping mask can make a noisy flight easier to nap through.

The most interesting item on Express Travel Network list of essential carry-on items are socks. Before or after takeoff, travelers can remove their shoes, and if not already, put on a pair of socks. When some travelers fly, they may experience swelling in their feet and legs; wearing comfortable socks, instead of tight shoes, can ease the swelling.

Express Travel Network wishes all travelers a safe travel season, and with these tips, they are sure to get to their destinations much quicker.
