On June 27^th BDO announced that potential buyers had two weeks to lodge bids for the Edinburgh-based club.

Founded in 1874, Hearts are one of Scotland's oldest clubs. They have won the Scottish league title four times and beat fierce local rivals Hibernian 5-1 in the 2012 Scottish Cup Final.
