Tommy Middaugh, Travel To Go's Executive Vice President, is extremely involved in giving back to charities and recently attended New Vista's Cocktails & Canvas fundraiser on October 5 at the JW Marriott & Rampart Casino in Summerlin.
Las Vegas, Nevada -- Tommy Middaugh is not only the executive vice president of world-renowned Travel To Go; he is also a philanthropist that believes in giving back to the community through a variety of causes and avenues. Tommy is a supporter of such charities and organizations as Send Me On Vacation, New Vista, and more. Recently, Tommy attended the Cocktails & Canvas fundraiser that offered attendees a unique art experience while raising money for New Vista's incredible programs.
In 2011, The Robert S. and Dorothy J. Keyser Foundation awarded New Vista the funds it needed to build the first senior home for people with intellectual challenges. It is New Vista's goal to create a groundbreaking program and home model that will address the needs of intellectually challenged individuals who have assisted-living needs. Ultimately, New Vista wants to provide care for the intellectually-challenged community in order to prolong them from needing a higher level of care or having to enter a nursing home for as long as possible. New Vista is also building a medical clinic to provide onsite medical care for its senior assisted living homes, to train local physicians, interns and nurses on how to provide specialized treatment to intellectually-challenged people, and to provide specialized treatment for all those with intellectual disabilities in the Las Vegas area.
On October 5, guests to the Cocktails & Canvas event witnessed artists complete incredible art pieces right before their eyes in just three hours. Throughout the night, there was live entertainment, music and even live tattooing. Menu sampling was provided by a number of local restaurants including The Melting Pot, Garfield's Restaurant, Spiedini, 211, The Carmel Room and more.
"It was truly incredible to see how these artists completed their stunning works of art in various mediums in just a short amount of time," Tommy Middaugh Travel To Go Vice President said. "This unique event raised money for a great cause while providing a unique form of entertainment for all those involved."
