Geneva - October 8, 2013 - STMicroelectronics, a global semiconductor leader serving customers across the spectrum of electronics applications, today announced that it has received the 2013 Excellence in Sustainability Award from Cisco.

This prestigious award recognizes ST for demonstrating transparency and accountability for the environmental and social impacts of their operations, and partnering with Cisco on projects and solutions, as well as demonstrated leadership through industry-wide initiatives. The distinction was awarded during Cisco's 22nd Annual Supplier Appreciation Event, held September 17 at the Santa Clara Convention Center.

Cisco presented awards to suppliers in recognition of their contributions to Cisco's success in fiscal year 2013.  At the event, Cisco celebrated the shared successes of its global value chain with strategic suppliers and manufacturing partners and reaffirmed its commitment to a strong, continued partnership that will further accelerate innovation.
