Eimskip: Application for right of appeal to Iceland Supreme Court

The Board of Directors of Eimskip decided today to apply for a right of appeal to the Icelandic Supreme Court for the Landsréttur case of 21 June.The Supreme Court will decide whether to grant the right to appeal, but the court shall base its evaluation on whether a judgement in this case will have a generic relevance or concerns particularly significant interests. It is Eimskip's opinion that this case can create a precedent and therefore the company applies for a right to appeal.
