"Hospital Build Europe 2012" trade fair for hospital construction, operation and infrastructure
24-26 April 2012, Messe Berlin (Hall 1.1), http://bit.ly/Hosp2012

Berlin/Düsseldorf, 8.3.2012. The people in charge of European hospitals are going to meet at "Hospital Build Europe" in Berlin, from 24 to 26 April 2012, in order to exchange ideas and information about planning , design, construction, facility management, modernisation and hospital management. Intensive knowledge transfer will take place in the five convention series accompanying the trade fair. The main focus will be on such issues as healing environment, cooperation arrangements in the health sector, mobile health, green hospitals and the development of the hospital market up to 2020. Efficient hospital processes, control and monitoring systems for operating theatres, as well as services related to hospital operation, will also be presented.

At the three-day conference entitled "Leaders in Health Care" experts from Israel, the Netherlands, Austria, Spain, Belgium, Italy and Germany will discuss economic challenges in the health sector. The focus will be on potential synergy effects as well as additional sources of income for hospitals and cooperation arrangements in the health sector. This series will be chaired by the Swiss health economist Dr Willy Oggier.

The exhibitors are organising workshops and will present their product developments in a special forum. In addition, special tours will take place in cooperation with Berlin Partner. For example, during a visit to the Charité hospital and the community hospital group Vivantes, the participants can witness the operation of hospitals close up. At Charité, the destination of the tour will be the construction site of the master plan project at Campus Mitte, the new construction of the preclinical department and the research centre for neurosciences and immune sciences, occupying a gross floor space of more than 26,000 square metres.

"Hospital Build" is already taking place for the second time specifically for the European market. The event concept has been successful for years in Dubai, China, India and Singapore; but the first event to take place in Germany also had a good start in 2011, with 58 exhibitors and 2,000 visitors from 50 different countries. The organiser, Euroforum, is even expecting 7,000 visitors at this year's trade fair, as the thematically related trade shows EURO ID and conhIT are taking place within walking distance.
