Kesko Group's sales in July 2015 totalled EUR778.0 million. In comparable terms excluding Anttila, sales increased by 2.6% in local currencies.

 

"Kesko's sales continued to increase in July, though the circumstances were challenging due to the changeable summer weather. We are particularly pleased with the strong development in the building and home improvement trade, and in the agricultural and machinery trade," says Kesko's President and CEO Mikko Helander.

 

In Kesko's grocery trade, sales in July were EUR402.7 million, a decrease of 1.1% from the previous year in local currencies. The downward price trend continued in Finland.

 

In the home improvement and speciality goods trade, sales in July were EUR310.6 million, and comparable sales excluding Anttila increased by 8.7% in local currencies. In Finland, comparable sales increased by 3.4%. Outside Finland, comparable sales grew by 13.5% in local currencies. In the building and home improvement trade, sales increased by 5.6% in local currencies. In the agricultural and machinery trade, sales grew by 20.4%.

 

In the car trade, sales in July were EUR63.1 million, a decrease of 2.1% from the previous year.
