Man United Now Second Favourites for Premier League After Special Appointment

Both punters and  fans have given a big thumbs up to Jose Mourinho taking the top job  at Old Trafford.

Betfred have cut the Reds to 9/2 from 11/2 to be Premier League champions next season - clear second favourites behind Manchester City but ahead of Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham.

Mourinho's reported appointment follows three days of talks between the celebrated Portuguese manager's representative and United officials with the problems over this image rights blamed for the delay in announcing him as the headline-grabbing successor to unpopular Louis van Gaal.
