the unexpected death of Anthony
Maher , Chairman
of the Supervisory Board of ADVA Optical Networking , over the weekend.
Anthony Maher had
served as a m ember of the Supervisory Board since 2002
and assumed the
role of chairman at the beginning
of 2009. The Company's employees,
the Executive Board and the Supervisory Board
mourn the loss of Mr.
Maher and commemorate
his valuable work
for the company.
The Company
will be seeking a suitable board member
immediately and enter a nomination with the court
for the appointment of a new board
member.
