Kesko's sales increased abroad, in Finland price decline continued

 

Kesko Group's sales in October 2015 totalled EUR748.9 million. In comparable terms excluding Anttila, sales decreased by 1.6% in local currencies.

 

"In October, Kesko's sales increased outside Finland. The sales performance in Finland was impacted by one delivery day less than in the previous year. In the grocery trade, prices continued to decline further in October," says Kesko's President and CEO Mikko Helander.

 

In Kesko's grocery trade, sales in October were EUR404.3 million, a decrease of 2.2% in local currencies. There was one delivery day less than in the previous year.

 

In the home improvement and speciality goods trade, sales in October were EUR278.3 million, and comparable sales excluding Anttila decreased by 0.9% in local currencies. In Finland, comparable sales were down by 2.2%. Outside Finland, comparable sales grew by 0.3% in local currencies. In the building and home improvement trade, sales decreased by 0.6% in local currencies.

 

In the car trade, sales in October were EUR64.8 million, up 0.2% from the previous year.
