GlocalNumber Announces The Next Big Global Service to Mobile Operators at MWC 2014
GlocalNumber enables Mobile Operators to offer their subscribers a simple, feature rich interactive user experience to feed the imagination of a colossal 5 billion mobile users. GlocalNumber members can enjoy unlimited voice and messaging as well as many other valuable services that will attract them away from OTT's and back to the core Mobile Operator Networks.
During the Congress the response from Mobile Operators has been overwhelmingly positive. The largest Operator, China Mobile, have expressed a keen interest to follow up with discussions in how they can offer the service to their 700 million subscribers. Amongst others high profile meetings include Zain Group CEO, Docomo, Vimplecom, MAXIS, Lycra Mobile and many others.
GlocalNumber will be the only Platform that can reach a potential market of 2 billion mobile users who don't have readily access to the internet. For internet application developers this will represent a great opportunity for them to tie their API's to GlocalNumber's API's and scripting language. A host of applications can reside on the GlocalNumber Cloud and can be accessed by mobile users, triggered by specially designated GlocalNumber IDs or by SMS to activate services on the internet or to return content delivered by voice or by text. This allows one application to reach a large audience and each application can identify users by unique GlocalNumber IDs.
Advanced follow up meeting was held with the IBM Watson team in how GlocalNumber's unique IDs can be used as a profile tool for identifying mobile users. Discussions centered around how GlocalNumber could be a tool for IBM Watson to reach many mobile users in emerging markets who do not have ready access to the internet.
The GlocalNumber team was invigorated with exuberance expressed by visitors regarding the new global service. Especially heartening was the positive response received from Mobile Operators who are ready to sign up for the trial period.
