The Kesko Group's sales in February 2013, excluding VAT, totalled EUR676.1 million, down 7.4%.

 

In Kesko's food trade, sales in February were EUR325.2 million, a decrease of 2.2% compared to the previous year. The number of delivery days in February was one less than in the previous year.

 

In the home and speciality goods trade, sales in February were EUR103.4 million, a decrease of 4.6%. The sales of Indoor and Intersport Finland increased. The sales of K-citymarket home and speciality goods and Anttila decreased. The number of retail selling days in February was one less than in the previous year. The impact of network changes in Musta Pörssi and Intersport Russia on the total sales performance of the home and speciality goods trade was -1.4 percentage points.

 

In the building and home improvement trade, sales in February were EUR183.1 million, a decrease of 9.9%. Sales in Finland were down 8.4%. In terms of euros, sales abroad decreased by 11.3%, which is partly attributable to the changes in the chain that took place in Norway in 2012.

 

In the car and machinery trade, sales in February were EUR75.8 million, a decrease of 23.2%. VV-Auto's sales in February were EUR59.2 million, down 24.5%. In the previous year, sales increased due to the car tax change effective 1 April 2012. Konekesko's sales in February were EUR16.7 million, a decrease of 18.0% from the previous year.

In February 2013, the number of selling days in Kesko's wholesale in Finland was 20, which was one less than in the previous year. The total number of selling days in January-February was the same as in the previous year. The number of retail selling days in February was 28, which was one less than in the previous year. The total number of retail selling days in January-February was one less than in the previous year.
