The 2012 Shanghai International Modern Logistics & Transportation Exhibition to Take Place in August

This fully modernized, cross-sectorial, cross-departmental and cross-regional industry integrates transportation, warehousing, handling, processing, sorting, distribution and information into a complete supply chain. During the 11th Five-Year Plan period from 2006 to 2010, China's logistics industry continued its rapid growth. The overall output value of the sector reached 446 trillion yuan, with an average annual growth of 21%, 2.8 times that of the previous five-year period. Costs reached 27 trillion yuan with an average annual growth of 15.6%, 2.1 times faster than that of the previous five-year period. The added value of the logistics industry amounted to 10 trillion yuan, representing an average annual growth of 16.7%, 2.2 times faster than that of the previous five-year period.
