Demand for Ashes Tickets Expected to Soar Further as Fans Rush to Witness an English Series Triumph
Demand for Ashes tickets has increased by an average of since the start of the Test series on the 10 July up until this week.
The figures revealed by StubHub indicate the growing excitement amongst England fans that this could not only be series victory but also a series 'whitewash' after England's emphatic win in the 2 Test.
Demand reached its peak the day after Alistair Cook and his men clinched the nail biting 1 test at Trent Bridge with ticket searches up by an extraordinary compared to the same time in June.
And with a break this week until the 3 Test begins at Old Trafford on 1 August, StubHub is predicting the trend to continue on an upward trajectory, with the Ashes expected to top their most popular sporting event of the year by the time of its culmination.
Commenting on the demand, Brigitte Ricou-Bellan said, "Even before the 1 Test began, demand had been unprecedented for us. I think that given the form of the England team so far on top of other sporting successes such as Andy Murray , the Lions and Chris Froome , hope of victory has turned into expectancy. And fans want to be there to witness cricket history."
Tickets for the 3 Test at Old Trafford, which starts on 1 August, as well as tickets for the other two remaining Tests, are all still available at http://www.stubhub.co.uk/the-ashes-tickets/

About StubHub
StubHub is a ticket marketplace that connects buyers to sellers, however, unlike current UK competitors, the company does not buy or sell tickets itself or charge fans additional booking fees at the point of purchase - a first for the industry.
StubHub, which launched in the US in 2000, consistently holds the highest customer satisfaction ratings in the entire ticketing industry, and boasts one of the highest scores in all of e-commerce. Every purchase made through the site is backed by StubHub's FanProtectâ„¢ Guarantee, which guards against fraud and ensures that buyers get what they pay for.
StubHub offers a full suite of mobile applications, and opened the first-ever central London retail outlet for fans to buy, pick up or drop off their tickets on Great Portland Street last year. Additional pop-up locations are also planned across the country. These will be conveniently located close to major venues, meaning fans will never have to worry about getting in at the last minute.
The company also has a Dublin -based call centre, open from 09:00 - 21:00, seven days a week, to handle any and all customer queries (0800-358-8585).
