Ibiza to host the Mediterranean Grand Prix of the Class-1 World Championship

Together with IWC (Ibiza World Championship) and H20, local and international promoters, Ibiza will host from 5th , the , the Class-1 World Championship of Powerboats and Aquabikes. This event will take place every year until 2018 during Ibiza International Sport Week, an extraordinary week of events that will include the official races of the and the .
The presentation of the was held this morning, June 27th , in the new Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza. In attendance were , CEO and founder of the Ibiza World Championship (IWC); , Vice President of H20 Racing; , Board Member and , Palladium Hotel Group Vice President. Also present were , Marina Ibiza CEO; and , President of the Consell Insular d’Eivissa (Ibiza local government). Furthermore, some of the most important pilots of the current main teams attended the presentation event to lend their support.
The events will involve several locations including which will be the base of the paddock and the Class-1 boxes, and will be the area for the starts and finishes of the boat races, as well. The facilities will also allow the attendees to witness the Freestyle night show.
The race field will be located in , a unique spot that will allow every spectator to see the spectacular races. In addition, several hotels owned by ; Ushuaïa Ibiza Beach Hotel and Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza, are located in the middle of the Ibiza Mediterranean Grand Prix 2014 Their exclusive facilities and outdoor stages will host excellent leisure activities and music that will add even more entertaining content to this top-notch event.
The World Championship 2014 has four Grand Prixes planned for this year including the races of Ibiza and Siracusa ( Italy ), Terracina ( Italy ) and
Abu Dhabi (UAE).
