"When considering the best treatment plan for a patient in clinical areas such as perioperative medicine, clinicians need high-quality, unbiased, non-promotional educational information in order to make informed decisions that are in the interests of their patients," explains Dr David Green, Consultant Anaesthetist, Department of Anaesethics, Intensive Care Medicine and Pain Therapy, King's College, London, UK, and Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Perioperative Medicine.
Developed in partnership with leading perioperative medicine and neonatal intensive care experts from across Europe, Cure&Care aims to help healthcare professionals overcome the current challenges in treating and managing patients in clinical practice by creating an open forum for peer-to-peer education and best-practice sharing.
"The Cure&Care educational initiative has been specifically designed to address these complexities, by widening healthcare professionals' access to crucial information related to their specialty, in order to drive forward advancements in patient care that have the potential to improve patient safety and long-term outcomes," explains Dr Gudrun Kunst, Consultant Anaesthetist, Department of Anaesethics, Intensive Care Medicine and Pain Therapy, King's College, London, UK, and Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Perioperative Medicine.
