At the closing ceremony, Jury president Bryan Singer enthusiastically explained: "The most important part of filmmaking is creating a world that's believable. In the case of this film we all felt that it was as a believable film with a world full of sadness, humor and triumph." Berliner's words were: "It was a very cruel job. It took 13 years on this film. I rewrote it many times because Nise is such an important person who is a revolutionary figure. Only a few people know about her so it was my responsibility to show her to the world. In life, sometimes we know that we are doing something special, and I felt that way with this film."
