WowLighting Exposes LED Myths
Lighting design consultancy WowLighting.co.uk has just added new LED guidelines to their website that expose some of the misleading claims often made about LED lamps and fittings.
The LED guidelines have been written to provide buyers with the information they need to correctly select LED lamps to replace existing filament lamps, and to choose new LED light fittings.
Bill Noble , WowLighting's CEO, says: "There is so much misleading information supplied by many LED lamp and fitting manufacturers that all too often buyers end up selecting the wrong part. The biggest problem comes from the way some manufacturers claim equivalence with halogen lamps. Put bluntly, many claims of equivalence are simply wrong, or at least wrong by any sensible metric. Our guidelines have been written to give buyers the information they need to make the correct choices and get the desired levels of illumination. As things stand, by using some manufacturer's misleading data the end result is a room much darker than expected."
