Incremento del tasso di utilizzo dei container marittimi a luglio 2010 accompagnato da un deciso aumento delle tariffe di locazione.

La locazione dei container marittimi batte un record storico, con un tasso di utilizzo del 97,1% al 30 luglio 2010, registrando allo stesso tempo una crescita del 20% delle tariffe di locazione rispetto a gennaio 2010.
Dopo un 2009 segnato dalla netta flessione degli scambi internazionali (-10%) e dalla diminuzione della produzione mondiale di nuovi container (nel 2009 ne sono stati prodotti meno di 300.000, rispetto agli oltre 3 milioni del 2008), il nolo ha registrato un forte aumento a livello internazionale, stimolando la domanda di container marittimi dall'inizio dell'anno.
A reminder that international trade is forecasted to increase by 9.5% in 2010 (source WTO), which would bring about an 8.8% increase in container transport (source: Clarkson).
