WhichBingo Launch 2017 Online Bingo Report
The WhichBingo report provides valuable insight into players perceptions of themselves. The fact that 47% of players do not describe online bingo as 'gambling' is a particular eye opener.
This year's report also delivers strong evidence that bingo players are getting younger, with a 20% increase across both 25-34 and 35-44 age groups.
"It is vital for us to monitor the changes that are happening in our industry so that we can adapt and change to match player expectations."
The results of the report call for significant changes to be made in the technology that underpins the online bingo industry.
Online bingo websites need to adapt and provide solutions for the ways that players are consuming their games. The survey reveals that mobile play has increased by more than 100% over the last 12 months.
"Whilst a 'mobile first' approach has been standard for a number of years across the industry, we have seen a significant switch to a 'mobile only' approach. Larger online bingo sites looking to capitalise on this increase in mobile play are taking the lead here.
"It is interesting to note that 70% of the online bingo sites surveyed have been built for scalability across mobile, tablet and desktop devices."
Survey of WhichBingo.co.uk visitors in December 2016 . The survey received a total of 606 responses.
