Amer Sports accelerates Fitness growth by expanding into indoor cycling

Amer Sports' Fitness business unit Precor ® is partnering with Mad Dogg Athletics, Inc. , the creator of the Spinning ® indoor cycling program and Spinner® line of bikes, to launch a new line of Spinner® indoor cycling equipment in 2016. Under the exclusive multi-year global agreement, the two companies will co-develop a new range of indoor cycling equipment, and Precor will assume the manufacturing and distribution of the new range of products, including future marketing and education programs.

The fitness category is a significant category for Amer Sports with the Precor brand. In addition to the collaboration between Mad Dogg Athletics and Precor, Amer Sports recently expanded into the functional training category by acquiring the Queenax brand. The collaboration with Mad Dogg Athletics is yet another step into a new, growing fitness segment with attractive future sales opportunity.
The agreement has no impact on Amer Sports 2015 financial results.
