The international event Women for Progress – Supporting the World returns to the heart of Capo di Leuca, uniting culture, sustainability, and social commitment. The tenth edition will take place from
May 25 to June 3, 2025, bringing delegations from all continents to Salento (Italy).
After months of organizational work, the program has been officially defined: the headquarters of the initiative will be the
Messapia Hotel & Resort in Santa Maria di Leuca, which will also host the
final show, scheduled for Sunday, June 1.The calendar of public events will kick off on
Tuesday, May 27 with a press conference at Palazzo Gallone in Tricase, where the contestants and their projects will be presented. Cultural and naturalistic visits to
Presicce-Acquarica, the Leuca Lighthouse, and
Torre Palane where participants will be welcomed by the Marina Serra Association, a key player in enhancing the territory and its identity, are also planned,

A special space will be dedicated to promoting local gastronomic excellences, guided by chef Mirco Vigna, and the event “Chefs for Progress” on May 31, during which the Italian Association of Chefs will organize a rich buffet by the pool at the Messapia Hotel. The 2025 edition has received the moral patronage of the Ministry of Culture, the U.N.A.R. (National Office Against Racial Discrimination of the Presidency of the Italian Council of Minister), the Region of Puglia, and the hosting municipalities, further confirming the institutional value of the project. The winner of the last edition (2023), Odalis Soza, has turned her project into concrete action: the project “Create Your Forest”, with which she earned the title of Miss Progress International, is now a reality, reforesting an area near Matagalpa, Nicaragua.
Women for Progress once again proves to be a unique opportunity to promote dialogue between peoples, female empowerment, and the beauty of the Salento region. For more information (in Spanish, Italian, and English) visit the official website: www.womenforprogress.it
