Scotland: St Andrews Most Expensive Spring Destination in the UK
Visitors to St Andrews in May will have to pay an average of £119 per night for the most affordable double room. The next two most expensive destinations, Bath and Oxford, both have average rates of £112 per night.
Two more Scottish destinations made it into the Top 10: Fort William, the largest town in the Highlands region, which comes 4th in the survey with an average rate of £104 per night, and the town of Pitlochry, located on the River Tummel, which ranks 7th with an average rate of £93. The Scottish capital of Edinburgh comes 12 , with an average rate of £84.

The prices shown reflect the average daily rate for each location's cheapest available double room (for a minimum 3-star, centrally-located hotel) for the period spanning 1 - 31 May. Please note: The survey considered all UK destinations home to 15 hotels or more.
