The book, which was also presented at the African Union Summit in Malabo in July 2025 , estimates the debt owed to Africa in trillions of dollars:

for the unpaid labour of slaves;
for colonial exploitation;
for debt cancellation;
for stolen artefacts;
for climate reparations.
