Tonight Champagne Perrier-Jouet Celebrates its 200th Anniversary

Hosted at the prestigious London town house, Il Bottaccio at Hyde Park Corner, the evening followed a journey from the boutique House's foundation in 1811 to the modern day.

A champagne reception with was followed by a sumptuous Bicentenary Dinner inspired by . After dinner, a stunning 'live' exhibition of guest portraits by Lorenzo Agius was unveiled and the evening concluded with DJ sets by and Sam Young

The Perrier-Jouët 'Mentors & Muses' party celebrated the House's living legacy: a unique philosophy embracing expertise, artistry and 'art de vivre' spirit, developed and shared over two centuries. To honour this 200 year old marriage of craftsmanship and inspiration, the evening was conceived as an opportunity for guests, drawn from across the creative spectrum, to personally recognise and pay tribute to their own sources of inspiration - past, present or future. The guest list comprised VIP's who each invited their personal Mentor, Muse or Protégée. The guest list spanned across artists, designers, ballerinas &  actors; invited his new wife as his muse, milliner invited as his muse invited as his muse, celebrity photographer invited as his muse whilst her brother, chose his Guildhall drama college teacher as his mentor.

During the evening, guests were treated to some of the House's finest cuvées, concluding with the Belle Epoque 1998 en jeroboam, with which guests toasted the future of Champagne Perrier-Jouët.This Belle Epoque 1998 vintage also featured in     the world's first legacy champagne which was displayed on the night. Featuring two magnums housed in a commemorative case sculpted by artist Daniel Arsham , this limited- edition concept is destined to be shared with future generations, with the Chardonnay-driven cuvée designed to be stored in the House cellars for up to 100 years.

After dinner an exhibition of guest portraits by Lorenzo Agius was unveiled, featuring the VIPs along with their Mentors, Muses and Protégées. Each portrait was accompanied by a personal tribute from the guest to their source of inspiration along with a defining image from the past. The photo exhibition will be converted later into a commemorative book produced by Lorenzo as a memento for all guests.
