Kesko's sales in December 2014

 

Kesko Group's sales, excluding VAT, in December 2014 totalled EUR798.0 million, down 1.9%.

 

In Kesko's food trade, sales in December were EUR410.9 million, an increase of 0.7% from the previous year.

 

In the home and speciality goods trade, sales in December were EUR170.0 million, a decrease of 11.7%. The sales performance was especially impacted by the decline in the sales of the department store trade and the changes in the network of Anttila and Musta Pörssi.

 

In the building and home improvement trade, sales in December were EUR165.8 million, an increase of 0.5%. In terms of local currencies, sales were up by 11.9%. Sales in Finland increased by 3.6%. Sales abroad decreased by 1.7% in euros, but increased by 17.9% in local currencies.

 

In the car and machinery trade, sales in December were EUR67.3 million, an increase of 4.5%. VV-Auto's sales in December were EUR52.3 million, up 11.9%. Konekesko's sales in December were EUR15.1 million, a decrease of 14.4% from the previous year.

In December 2014, the number of selling days in Kesko's wholesale in Finland was 20, which was two more than in the previous year. The total number of selling days in January-December was the same as in the previous year. The number of retail selling days in December was 28, which was the same as in the previous year. The total number of retail selling days in January-December was the same as in the previous year.
