QS University Rankings 2018: Arab Region

QS Quacquarelli Symonds, global higher education analysts, have today released the third edition of the QS University Rankings: Arab Region. The table is the most extensive guide to the performance of 100 universities in 15 Arabic-speaking countries. This year's ranking sees King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) lose its top spot for the first time ever. It is replaced by Lebanon's American University of Beirut .

QS use a unique methodology to calculate this ranking. The methodology is designed to account for the unique challenges facing the region's universities, and features 9 indicators. These indicators are:
