The trends portray a workplace that blends work life with outside life, catering to employee needs through improvements in wellness, space design and learning programs. The modern workplace benefits from all generations teaching and learning from one another as well as leveraging individual strengths and the power of collaboration to meet personal and business goals.

Our system is grounded in primary and secondary research. Initial identification of trend topics came from research, including consulting global news sources focused on HR and the workplace, and through our own insights into workplaces around the globe. Once we had identified global topic-area experts, we conducted more than 55 hours of interviews (two to six expert interviews per trend). Secondary source material and statistics have been compiled from global news sources and research databases. We've curated trends by distilling the findings of our research into a report with relevancy to global workplaces.
