The Kesko Group's sales, excluding VAT, in July 2013 totalled EUR809.1 million, up 1.3%.

 

In Kesko's food trade, sales in July were EUR372.5 million, an increase of 6.2% compared to the previous year. In July, the number of delivery days was one more than in the previous year.

 

In the home and speciality goods trade, sales in July were EUR109.6 million, a decrease of 8.3%. Sales performance was particularly impacted by the decrease in department store sales, as well as network changes in Musta Pörssi and Intersport Russia. Sales were up in Finland in Intersport and Budget Sport.

 

In the building and home improvement trade, sales in July were EUR240.1 million, a decrease of 4.8%. Sales in Finland were down 0.4%. Sales abroad decreased by 7.7% in terms of euros. Excluding the impact of retailer changes in Norway, sales abroad decreased by 1.0%.

 

In the car and machinery trade, sales in July were EUR98.7 million, an increase of 13.8%. VV-Auto's sales in July were EUR60.4 million, up 15.6%. Konekesko's sales in July were EUR38.3 million, an increase of 11.0% from the previous year.

Change, % indicates the change over the corresponding period of the previous year.

 

In July 2013, the number of selling days in Kesko's wholesale in Finland was 23, which was one more than in the previous year. The total number of selling days in January-July was the same as in the previous year. The number of retail selling days in July was 31, which was the same as in the previous year. The total number of retail selling days in January-July was one less than in the previous year.
