2. Yaax Che Garden
The Jardin Botanico "Yaax Chee" or Yaax Che Botantical Garden was established in 1984 and dedicated to the great scientist Dr. Alfred Barrera Marín in 1990, who dedicated a great portion of his life to studying the environment and Mayan way of life. This expansive garden sits on 60 hectares of mangrove and jungle. Trails wind throughout the garden for visitors to walk on and experience the vast array of both plant and animal life. Monkeys, birds and other wildlife can frequently be seen, and there are watering stations throughout the garden for them to drink at. 3. Fishing
