Kesko's sales increased in February

 

Kesko Group's sales in February 2016 totalled EUR656.8 million. In comparable terms excluding Anttila, sales increased by 5.6% in local currencies.

 

"In February, Kesko's sales increased in all strategic growth areas: the grocery trade, the building and home improvement trade, and the car trade," says Kesko's President and CEO Mikko Helander.

 

The sales of Kesko's grocery trade in February were EUR355.5 million, an increase of 2.7%. In local currencies, sales increased by 3.1%. There was one more delivery day than in the previous year.

 

The sales of the home improvement and speciality goods trade in February were EUR234.3 million, and comparable sales excluding Anttila increased by 8.3% in local currencies. In Finland, comparable sales grew by 4.3%. Outside Finland, comparable sales grew by 14.0% in local currencies. The sales of the building and home improvement trade increased by 10.8% in local currencies.

 

The sales of the car trade in February were EUR67.4 million, up 10.9% from the previous year.

In February 2016, the number of selling days in Kesko's wholesale in Finland was 21, which was one more than in the previous year. The total number of selling days in January-February was the same as in the previous year.
