NEW YORK, Nov. 17, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- LifeSci Advisors, LLC, (the "Company" or "LifeSci") an investor relations and corporate communications firm focused on the life sciences sector, today announced the appointment of Chris Maggos as Managing Director, Europe and the expansion of the Company's services to European clientele.

Mr. Maggos has over 20 years of experience in the life sciences industry covering business development, investor relations, public relations, journalism, and molecular biology. He is the founder of BioConfidant Sàrl, a Geneva-based strategic consulting firm that helped senior executives achieve their financing and partnering goals. Previously, while at Addex Therapeutics (SWX:ADXN), he was a member of the executive management board and held the positions of Head of Investor Relations & Communication from 2007 to 2010 and Director of Business Development from 2010 to 2013. Prior to Addex Therapeutics, Mr. Maggos was a journalist for BioCentury, a leading biotechnology trade publication, from 2001 to 2007. He began his career in the life sciences as a molecular biologist studying drug dependence at The Rockefeller University from 1993 to 1997, where he co-authored 12 peer-reviewed publications. He is also the co-Founder of the Alpine Institute for Drug Discovery, a not-for-profit social enterprise whose mission is to help commercialize academic discoveries. Mr. Maggos holds a BA in English Literature from Yale University, where he also completed pre-medical studies.
