The Milan Malpensa Airport is set to be named after the renowned Italian, Silvio Berlusconi. This announcement was made by the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Matteo Salvini, first from the stage of Bruno Vespa's "Forum in masseria" in Manduria, and later on his social media channels.

Barbara Berlusconi, Silvio Berlusconi's daughter, expressed her approval of the decision. She told Adnkronos, "I judge favorably any way to honor my father's memory." She welcomed the decision to name the Milan Malpensa Airport after her father.

The announcement was made during the "Forum in masseria" event held in Manduria, on the Salento estate of Bruno Vespa. The Minister of Infrastructure, Matteo Salvini, revealed that the National Civil Aviation Authority (ENAC) had approved the request to name the Malpensa Airport after Silvio Berlusconi.

Matteo Salvini, who is also the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, made the announcement via social media. He stated, "The Board of Directors of ENAC has approved the request made by the Lombardy region a year ago." The final decision rests with the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, i.e., Salvini himself. The request was made by the Lega Nord governor Fontana, and the point is claimed by the Carroccio, increasingly in a competitive alliance version, ready to elbow both from the Forza Italia side and Fratelli d'Italia.
